During my teaching career in both the state and independent sector, I have been inundated with committed parents seeking advice on how to support their children's learning at home. I realised that parents wanted to help their children to learn and that this could be done through a series of seminars.
The 'Ready to Learn' seminars, which I have written and developed, have proven to be an invaluable support to busy parents. The seminars are constantly being evaluated and developed in line with the latest research and government education initiatives.
It is evident that a child, academic progress often depends on individual support – this is where parents are an invaluable resource. However, the good intentions of parents can unwittingly be detrimental to their child's academic progress. I can show parents how to instill in their children a love of learning, whilst forming a strong parent-child bond.
